A solar system only pays back if it keeps producing. Al Mukhtar United provides solar operation and maintenance (O&M) services in Oman to keep residential, commercial and farm systems running at full output. We cover Muscat, Dhofar and other governorates from our offices in Ghala and Salalah.
Why solar maintenance matters in Oman
Dust and sand build up on panels quickly in Oman and reduce output. In Dhofar, Khareef humidity and coastal salt add corrosion risk to frames, connectors and cables. Without regular maintenance, faults can go unnoticed for months while your electricity bill creeps back up.
What our O&M service includes
- Panel cleaning scheduled to suit local dust levels
- Remote monitoring of production through your inverter platform
- Preventive inspections of panels, mounting, cables, connectors and protection devices
- Inverter fault diagnosis and coordination of warranty claims
- Electrical testing by our licensed electrical team
- Performance reports so you can see what your system produces
Systems we maintain
We maintain systems we installed and can also take over maintenance of systems installed by other contractors after an initial inspection. This includes rooftop, carport, ground-mounted and solar water pumping systems.
One-off visit or annual contract
Choose a single inspection and cleaning visit, or an annual O&M contract with scheduled visits and priority response. We agree the scope with you based on system size and location.
Why Al Mukhtar United
- DCRP-approved solar installer (DCRP/SOLAR/008/23)
- Excellent Grade registered Omani contractor, working in the electricity sector since 2003
- Nama Dhofar Services partner and Nama Unit Rate electrical contractor
- In-house LV/MV electrical team, up to 11kV
Our electrical background means faults on the AC side, protection and grid connection are handled by the same team, not passed between companies. See our solar installation in Muscat and solar contractor in Salalah pages.
Frequently asked questions
How often should solar panels be cleaned in Oman?
It depends on dust levels at your site. Dusty and industrial areas need more frequent cleaning than residential areas. We recommend a schedule after reviewing your system output.
Can you maintain a system another company installed?
Yes. We start with a full inspection, report any issues, then agree a maintenance plan.
How do I know if my solar system is underperforming?
Compare production in your inverter app against previous months with similar weather. A sudden drop usually points to soiling, a fault or a tripped breaker. Our monitoring service checks this for you.
