Al Mukhtar United designs and installs solar water pumping systems in Oman for farms, livestock, plantations and remote sites. A solar pump uses free sunlight to lift water from wells and boreholes, replacing costly diesel generators and fuel deliveries.

Why switch to solar water pumping?

How a solar pumping system works

Solar panels feed a solar pump inverter or controller, which drives a submersible or surface pump. The controller adjusts pump speed to the available sunlight. Water is usually stored in a tank during the day, so it is available for irrigation and livestock at any time.

Solar pumping solutions we provide

Our process

  1. Site survey: well depth, water level, required daily flow and storage.
  2. Design: pump selection, panel array sizing and controller selection.
  3. Supply and installation: panels, mounting, pump, controller and cabling.
  4. Commissioning: flow testing and training for farm staff.
  5. Maintenance: optional O&M service.

Serving farms across Oman

From our Salalah office we serve farms across Dhofar, including Al Najd, Thumrait and the coastal plains. From Muscat we cover Al Batinah, Al Dakhiliyah and other governorates. See our solar contractor in Salalah page for more on our Dhofar work.

Frequently asked questions

Can a solar pump work without batteries?

Yes. Most solar pumping systems run directly from the panels and store water in a tank instead of storing electricity in batteries. This keeps cost and maintenance low.

Can I convert my existing diesel or electric pump to solar?

Often yes. Many AC pumps can run from a solar pump inverter. We check your pump and well during the site survey.

Is leasing available for farm solar pumps?

Yes. See our solar leasing option.
